Results
of the E&W Ballot |
The
results of the above ballot were announced today and in summary are
as follows.
Asked
should decisions of the Police Arbitration Tribunal be binding on Government
– 93% said ‘yes'.
Asked,
in the absence of binding arbitration, do you want the Police Federation
to seek the right to strike – 86% said ‘yes'.

It is no surprise that our colleagues in England and Wales
have joined Scottish officers in seeking to strengthen their industrial
rights. This UK Government has treated the police disgracefully
and the UK Federations will now examine how to achieve this.”
