Announcement
of industrial action by Police Support Staff |
Mr
Douglas Keil, General Secretary of the Scottish Police Federation
said,
“It
is a pity this dispute has not been resolved but we would never seek
to deny any employee the right to take industrial action.
Many
support staff posts will need to be filled by police officers and
they are so varied it is difficult to say whether this will be easily
done.
I
understand ACPOS have given an assurance that there will be no reduction
in frontline policing and this is vital as we are short enough of
frontline officers as it is.
We
look forward to an early resolution.”
