Calum Steele

Calum became General Secretary of the Scottish Police Federation in October 2008.

He joined Northern Constabulary in 1993 and has served in Inverness, Tarbert, Dingwall and briefly in Barra and Invergordon. He was elected to the Joint Branch Board in 2003, to the position of Assistant Secretary in 2004 and to the position of Secretary in 2006

Prior to taking up his current position he was the Joint Branch Board's Constables' Representative on the Joint Central Committee and the Joint Branch Board's Representative on many national standing committees and working groups.

Les Gray

Les became Chairman of the Scottish Police Federation in January 2010.

He joined Strathclyde Police as a cadet in June 1978.  In August 1980 he was appointed to constable and worked in North Lanarkshire 'N' Division.  In 1992 he was promoted to sergeant and posted to South Lanarkshire 'Q' Division.  He was promoted to inspector in the east end of Glasgow in 2002 where he served until he was elected to the full time post of Chairman of Strathclyde Joint Branch Board in May 2007. 

He has had a varied police career mainly in operational/uniformed duties including being a public order commander. 

He has been a federation representative since 1996 when he was elected as a sergeants' rep for 'Q' Division.


Raymond Pratt

Raymond became Deputy General Secretary of the Scottish Police Federation in 2009.

He began his career as a police cadet joining Strathclyde Police in August 1976. In January 1979 he was appointed as a Police Officer and posted to C Division in Glasgow. He worked in various departments and roles but remained in the one division. He became active in the Federation in 1996 as a divisional representative and served on a number of standing committees.


In December 2004 he was elected as the Joint Branch Board Secretary of Strathclyde representing 7,500 officers. He was also elected onto the Joint Central Committee. He is the Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Police Treatment Centres and the St George's Police Trust.


He has an Upper Second Class Honours degree in Politics and Economics, a Masters Degree in Research methods in Business and Management, is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

 


Rab Milligan

Rab became Vice Chairman of the Scottish Police Federation in 2002.

He joined Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary in 1985. He served in Newton Stewart, Stranraer Traffic Department, Dumfries Traffic Department, Dumfries Burgh, Training Department and Annan.

He was elected to the Dumfries and Galloway Branch Board in 1992 and has served as both chairman and vice chairman on the board. His responsibilities include being a PABS representative.
