Federated Ranks – Pay Award 2005

At a meeting of the Federated Ranks Committee of the Police Negotiating Board held in London today (Thursday 21st July) agreement was reached on the pay award for the federated ranks for 2005.

Following a survey by the Office of Manpower Economics, the median of private sector non-manual total pay settlements was revealed as 3%.

Subject to the ratification of the Scottish Ministers the pay for the federated ranks will be increased by 3% as from 1 st September 2005 .

It was also agreed to increase Dog Handlers' Allowance and Cadets' Pay by 3% effective from 1 st September 2005 .

It was also agreed that the Competence Related Threshold Payment would be increased by 3% from 1 st September 2005 .
